scaling4good prepares the ground to scale impact

We are an agile think and do tank

We create spaces for people and organisations who want to unfold the impact of their ideas and projects. We facilitate and initiate co-creative processes and contribute through methodological insights. During projects, we prepare the ground, that allows often unexpected, creative, and impactful results to emerge.

In our association we work as a self-organised community, letting personal initiative, the needs and timing of projects determine the team involved. Our network of professional, experienced, and diverse members enables us to find and apply many types of expertise effectively.

Our approach to scale impact

Scaling impact is an iterative, non-linear process. We cannot steer it, but we can prepare the ground, provide nutrients and techniques. Together with our clients and project partners, we apply the following way of working:

  • observing within a system
  • defining transformation needs in a systemic way
  • developing participative imaginations of the future
  • developing a theory of transformation
  • prototype in trusted alliances
  • diving into mutual learning about the impact
  • continue to adapt solutions for more impact

When working on projects with scaling4good we repeatedly ask:

  1. What is our understanding of good?
  2. What should be scaled?
  3. How can it be scaled?
  4. Scale it!
  5. What impact unfolds?
  6. Is it good?

Answering these questions provides orientation while progressing and new insights about the system we operate in.

Scaling impact requires a dynamic multifaceted approach in which being receptive and in resonance to stakeholders and present conditions are key. Depending on the system, time, and nature of the initiative various approaches and methods can be applied to scale impact.
